As part of the Three Rivers Film Festival, filmmaker Michael Madsen charts the real story about the preparation of Onkalo (Finnish for ‘hiding place’), a world of tunnels and corridors, which is the first permanent storage facility for nuclear waste meant to last 100,000 years, even though no structure in human history has stood nearly that long.
